Emily and Josh are headed back from their honeymoon and there is no better way to head back to reality than getting to see your wedding photos! This was my first wedding of the season and it went perfectly. Emily and Josh are an amazing couple with a super sweet family. This is actually the second time I've gotten to shoot a wedding for this family and we always have a blast. I wish I had a copy of their vows because they were so heartfelt.
Keeping with my new tradition, here is a little summary of Emily and Josh's love story!
Where / How did you meet? High School
Who said ‘I love you’ first? Josh
What do you like to do on dates? We love to go kayaking, watch movies, go to fancy restaurants, and go putt putting.
Tell me your proposal story: Josh texted me and told me he had a fun date planned but it was a surprise. I definitely thought that today on December 16th I was getting proposed too. We started out our day by going to breakfast then he told me there was one more place we had to go. At this moment I started freaking out thinking oh my gosh I am getting engaged its really happening. Nope... Although we did have a fun surprise, he took me to Pigeon and the Hen. But.. no ring! Saturday December 23rd, Josh texted me his usual morning text "good morning beautiful" and followed that by asking me to go to breakfast with him. I told him no because we needed to save money and because we had family in town. My mom then convinced me it was okay and to go to breakfast. I didn't think anything of this due to him tricking me the weekend before. Unfortunately, I took my time getting ready cause I had no clue what was going on. I guess he was planning on proposing early morning but we didn't get to breakfast until late afternoon. Once we finished our delicious breakfast at the Golden Egg we were headed to Target, so I thought. We were lost, I was very confused because Josh knows how to get to target. He then says to me "oh yea, we are not going to Target". At this moment I knew it was happening my heart was pounding and I was so excited yet so nervous. We pulled up to the Fernwood Botanical Gardens and walked out to the gorgeous gazebo. My parents came around the corner with the camera and Josh was down on one knee. Then you can all guess what happened after that "I SAID YES"!
